Ambassadors

Au-Delà Des Pistes has the privilege of being able to count on the support of many "personalities". Equine or human, our ambassadors allow us to highlight the potential and the versatility of racehorses destined to be retrained into all types of equestrian disciplines. We are very thankful for their support.

Roxanne Dubois

Ladies Pro Elite Horseball

Horses (and horseball) are a family affair for Roxanne. Her parents play horseball and have managed the Ecuries des Elfes equestrian centre in the South of France for over 20 years. With a dad who coaches and selects the French horseball teams, Roxanne got involved from an early age. She began riding at four years old at the family stables. After several years in showjumping, she now practices horseball at the top level with her ladies team at Salon de Provence and works as part of the family team at the stables: teaching young riders, riding horses for owners and managing the equestrian centre. Horses are a part of both her professional and personal life on a daily basis.

Her horse, QUAI D’HONNEUR, alias Kiki Star – 15yo thoroughbred - 40 races – 15 places – 45,000€ earnings

Clara Loiseau

Top-Level Eventing Rider

After starting riding at a very young age, Clara participated in a number of competitions in various disciplines before specialising in eventing. At the age of 17, she joined the Ecole Nationale d’Equitation in Saumur, to follow a training programme which would enable her to evolve at the highest level of competition. She is currently preparing for events in France and abroad, such as Badminton, Lumuhlen and Pau, where she rides retrained racehorses.

Brieuc Rigaux

No 1 French polo player

France’s leading polo player for over 10 years, Brieuc Rigaux has become an ambassador for ADDP! He is a fan of the thoroughbred and advocates the qualities of the breed. With an equine team composed of Argentine polo ponies and also thoroughbreds, he is committed to retraining racehorses. Brieuc discovered horses and polo when he was 14 years old, at the Ferme d’Aprement on the Domain of Chantilly. Formerly a football enthusiast, he felt that polo provided a perfect compromise between team sport and a love of horses. He will regularly share videos of the training of a top-level polo champion and behind the scenes insights into this sport which remains unfamiliar to many.

Brieuc is pictured with his thoroughbred mare H’Amour de Mélodie.

Astier Nicolas

Olympic Eventing Champion

Astier began riding at seven years old, and competing at ten. When he was 15, he joined the French junior eventing team and participated in the European Pony, Junior and Young Rider Championships for six consecutive years. After turning professional he moved to England in 2011 where he studied for a degree in Equine Management. In 2012, he won the title of World Champion in the Under 25 category. In 2013, he joined the senior French team which won the bronze medal at the European Championships. After several successes including at Blair Castle and Pau, Astier won team gold and an individual solver medal at the Olympic Games at Rio in 2016.

Christophe Soumillon

Champion Jockey

Born in Belgium, Christophe Soumillon has established himself as one of the best flat race jockeys in France and internationally. At only 20 years of age, Christophe won his first classic when taking the Gr. 1 Prix du Jockey Club aboard Anabaa Blue. This win started a long series of victories at the top level, given Christophe now numbers over one hundred Group 1 wins throughout the world. He has also been Champion Jockey in France on eight separate occasions. Christophe is currently the retained jockey for His Highness the Aga Khan with whom he has won numerous top races.

Nicolas Touzaint

Olympic Three-Day Event Champion

Nicolas Touzaint is a well-known and established eventing rider. An Olympic Champion, a European Champion and a World Junior Champion, Nicolas was the first French rider to win the mythic Badminton Three Day Event in England. His achievements speak for themselves. Even though his career is focused on eventing, Nicolas has not forgotten his passion of horse racing. An amateur rider, breeder, owner and permit trainer of racehorses, he shows a real appetite for all things relating to the racing world.

Kamel Boudra

Equestrian Journalist and Commentator

Kamel Boudra is without doubt one of the most popular presenters for the Equidia television channel. He is the host of Equestrian Le Mag and Profession Crack as well as the commentator of all the major equestrian events covered by the channel. Furthermore he oversees many documentaries produced by Equidia about the biggest flat, jumps and trotting races. However above all, Kamel is a real horseman. He has ridden and bred sport horses for a long time and he is passionate about all the various equestrian disciplines. Most recently he has obtained his silks at France Galop and he is due to have his first runner soon in his own colours, as he has formed a racing syndicate with a group of friends.

Equine Ambassadors

MILORD THOMAS

Equine ambassador

The champion Milord Thomas requires no introduction and his achievements are exceptional (winner of 8 Group races with partner Jacques Ricou, including the Grand Steeple-Chase de Paris and Prix la Haye Jousselin). At the end of his racing career, his breeders entrusted Milord Thomas to family friend Maëlys to begin his retraining, which can be followed on his Facebook page. He is always popular among fans when he returns for Au Dela Des Pistes parades on the racecourse. Congratulations to Milord Thomas and his rider Maëlys Duval!

SAAD

VAZIRABAD

Wont Wait

Three Day Eventing Rising Star

Wont Wait is a thoroughbred that was born and bred to race. After several runs over hurdles and on the flat, it became evident he was not a gifted racehorse and he was retrained by Clara Loiseau. His racing trainer, Yannick Fouin, recalls he was “a surprising horse that jumped really well in the mornings. He was both generous and concentrated. A real athlete.” However, he did not enjoy racing in the afternoons. Wont Wait qualified for the Young Horse Eventing finals at both 5 and 6 years of age and he has progressed annually to reach the highest level of the sport. In 2018 he finished 3rd in the CCI 4* at Pau. He is set to continue his eventing career in the most prestigious events of the sport, notably Badminton for example.

Eagle Hunter

Ambassadeur équin

Eagle Hunter was formerly trained by Francis-Henri Graffard for the colours of Al Asayl Racing, and he was placed in Listed company. He joins Au Dela Des Pistes as an ambassador and you can follow his progress in dressage with rider Clémentine Bouvier McCutchen. Clémentine also works as a manager of the purebred arabian and showjumping operations of Al Asayl France, and is committed to the wellbeing of their horses after their sporting career. She is delighted that one of their former representatives is now an ambassador for the association.

Cadeau du Roi

Three Day Eventing Champion

Cadeau Du Roi was an unraced thoroughbred born in Normandy. He was an unremarkable racehorse but he has since regularly established himself as one of the leading three day eventers in France. Most notably he finished 2nd in the French National Championships at Pompadour in 2014, as well as competing in the World Equestrian Games. Cadeau Du Roi recently finished 3rd in the renowned Burghley Three Day Event. His proud rider is International Eventer, Cédric Lyard.

Cirrus des Aigles

Seven time Group 1 winner

Following an outstanding race career during which Cirrus Des Aigles won numerous Group 1 events throughout the world, this champion racehorse has now retired from the tracks to spend his time in between his ex-trainer Corine Barbe's stables and his regular jockey Christophe Soumillon's Normandy home. Cirrus and Christophe took part in the inaugural Rehoming of Racehorses Day organised by Au-Delà des Pistes at Deauville last summer and they were the star attractions.
